The king of rock n roll

The best known & loved rock n roll artist, is the late great king of rock n roll, Elvis Aaron Presley. Born in Mississippi, Elvis & his family would later move to Memphis, Tennessee, where he would receive his first guitar as a birthday present.
His earliest influences would be country music & the southern blues. But of course, Elvis is best known for his rock music. He took the sound created by the likes of the legendary Buddy Holly & Bill Haley and take rock music into the mainstream. His wild antics would shock the older generation, and make a younger generation fall in love with the "rebellious" behavior. Often, he would sway his hips back and forth on stage, giving him the nick name, "Elvis the Pelvis," as well as being called the work of the devil.
Elvis' beautiful tenor voice became known world wide. He sang a wide range of music from rock, to blues, to country & gospel. He even would help to bring folk music to the limelight. His crooning voice sounding like velvet in tunes such as, "In the Ghetto" and "It's Now or Never." But also his tenor could carry the higher, nearly yelling tunes of "Jailhouse Rock" or "Hound Dog."
He also starred in many movies, which I believe would pave the way for rock operas & other types of rock movies. He was almost always seen singing and/or playing the guitar in the movies, but perhaps he will be best known & loved for his music.
Elvis' music & style would lay down the path for thousands of musicians. His voice & pop music will continue to live, and inspire people. He changed forever the standard for the music industry & will do so for many, many years to come.
I feel that Elvis' popularity & humble behavior were unfairly taken advantage of. His handsome looks would & still continue to bring him to the level of a god, which I think is sad, as all Elvis ever wanted to do, I believe, was sing. But his legend will live on and on.
