A Great Drummer

One the finest percussionists in the rock industry, is the late Cozy Powell. He was on the level of the legendary Carl Palmer of Emerson, Lake & Palmer & Asia fame, and may arguably be on the level of the late percussionist, Keith Moon of The Who.
A career which spans for more than 30 years, Cozy performed with such great bands as Deep Purple, White Snake, & Black Sabbath, as well as numerous artists such as Brian May, Yngwee Malmsteen, and Keith Emerson & Greg Lake, forming Emerson, Lake & Powell, though he was not chosen for the latter because of his last name.
I recall reading some years ago that Cozy was listed in the Guinness Book of Word records, but I can't recall exactly what it was about. I believe that it had to do with him playing over 400 drums at one time. If any one knows, please email myself or Emily.
I believe that the world lost one of the single finest contributors to the rock world, when Cozy Powell died too soon in that accident. He was a fine example of what makes rock music, chiefly, progressive rock & metal, so fantastic to listen to.
